Souvenir de la fête

A little something left behind for us on the bicycle lane on the bridge, after the Distortion paint party friday. This particular bicycle lane is 5 metres wide, the girl is placed near the sidewalk, and even so the few bicyclists that passed me deemed it extremely annoying and dangerous that I insisted on taking this picture. Nag, nag, nagging at heavens door.

PS! Summer has arrived.

  2. Art is in the streets, on floorboards, pavements and street - corners. Very artistic. No wonder you had to stop and photograph - I would, too:-)

  3. Ha, I know, Suffering grumpy bicyclists is a small price to pay for that rush. :-)

  4. I'm very happy you took the picture, Sandra! She's lovely and who knows how long she's here to stay with the sun and all the tyres scrubbing her away.

  5. I have noticed her too! She is still around, by the way.
One thing, though...pedestrians on the bike lanes CAN be dangerous. I have myself suffered a serious injury on my bike when 3 drunken pedestrians from Sweden suddenly walked out onto the bike lane, causing me to brake the bike and fly over the handlebar. I landed on my chin, which started to bleed like mad, and I was taken to hospital and had stitches.
I think I would have said something to you too, if I was on a bike. (And no, the lane is not 5 meters wide like you suggest).

Peace out :-) And thanks for the "dangerous" photo.

  6. Hi Drumstick, okay, so the lane may not be 5 metres, but it is at least 3 metres wide, and more than enough for that one person seeing me from a distance to pull just a little to the left. There is a far stretch from 3 drunken Swedes causing a terrible accident, to me, standing neatly by the curb, with my bike at side.

I am pretty sure you would have acted like a cool person, and just passed me with a grin on your face.

  7. The lane isn't five metres right now, because of construction, but it was before the refitting of Nørrebrogade began. And it will be 5 metres again when they're done.

  8. Hi Mikael, thanks for the support! It did feel five-ish to me when I wrote that post, good to know I can still measure.
