Living by the lakes, I have learned that when the light on very rare occasions turn a warm and all consuming yellow/pink/orange, you grab your camera and run for the bridge. It happens out of the blue: on a seemingly ordinary day, cold, rainy and grey, the sky decides you have had enough, and ends it with a show that will sweep the blues away.
Lake porn. It never gets old.

Go' søporno!
Argh. Elsker min lille lejlighed. :-)
DeleteThis is the definition of eye candy :) Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI struggle to not overdo it with the lakes, thinking you may have had enough of them for a lifetime already, but when they go yum like this, it is impossible to hold it back, haha. I love the lakes so much. :-)
DeleteMy husband and I are currently visiting Copenhagen and we're staying in Norrebro and I completely agree with you. I went jogging around the lakes today and it's absolutely beautiful. You live in a fantastic city.
ReplyDeleteI do. Especially these days, when summer has f i n a l l y arrived. I hope you enjoy every minute of your stay. :-)
DeleteGorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! At least this generally poor weather has given us some awesome evening skies like this.
ReplyDeleteI guess that is why they call it the silver lining. I love the lakes so much!
DeleteOh this is so beautiful! Could you tell me where exactly is this?
ReplyDeleteI'm going to Denmark next week for the first time and your blog so far has been my only guide :)
Wouldn't really want to miss out on this! Thank you for all your work on the blog, by the way, I'm in love.
This is Dronning Louises Bro, Queen Louises Bridge, connecting the inner city with the northside (Nørrebro). It has become quite the hangout spot, especially during sunset, you should absolutely pay it a visit.
DeleteI am so happy to hear that you like the blog, and I hope you have a fantastic time here. :-)
Wrote it down already, hopefully won't be missing this. I still have a lot to go through in this blog in order to squeeze as much as I can in 4 or 5 days in Copenhagen, but I know I'm going to have a great time :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fast reply! Cheers!
I gather you already checked the "Visiting Cph" page, on the top of this page?
