Hi Sandra, I love this, it also makes me think that customizing your bike would be both make the city prettier and serve as a deterrent for bike thieves. Do your bikes get stolen often in CPH? Because France is supposed to be a nightmare. I remember in Zürich, I was looking at people not bothering to attach their bike, in front of the shops in my neighborhood, like they were completely crazy...
Hi Carole, Oh, yes bike theft if a big issue here. No one ever gets caught, it is a joke. Even if stopped by the police on a stolen bike, all they cite for is traffic violations. Catching bike thieves is not a cash cow. But it would score the police department some high likability points if they at least tried.
Still more people pimp their bikes here. I think it is in part to make it unattractive to thieves, but it is also a cosy thing. We use our bikes a lot, and it really feels like an extended part of you. This flower says a lot about the spirit of the owner, I think. I instantly like her.
People used to leave bikes unlocked in the street here too, haha, not anymore.
Oh, you remember? The most dreaded season of all is approaching... maybe it would help to pimp the bike, I will look into it. :-) A great day to you too. And a hug.
We love Copenhagen so expect us to be biased. We hug trees, and we love street art, flea markets, old cars and new ideas. We go everywhere by bike, and nowhere without a camera. We worship freedom of speech and believe in democracy, but we have long since lost faith in our politicians. Me and my big mouth.

We need to decorate your bike for Christmas- that would bring you some cheer for the holidays! Wish I was there to do it ;) Have a great day!
